Front of House Team Member

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our guests, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, possess excellent customer service skills, and be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in hospitality, sales, and food handling within a vibrant café or quick service restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety protocols
• Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and processing payments
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including dining space, counters, and service stations
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met
• Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Buss tables and manage waste to uphold cleanliness standards
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
• Sales and upselling abilities to promote menu items effectively
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Experience working in quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés is a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Pay: $37,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
