Kismet client, Synergy Comp, an innovative, growing monoline Workers' Compensation Insurance Carrier, is seeking a Production Underwriter for the Upstate New York (NY) and Western Pennsylvania (PA) territory. Synergy Comp has an AM Best A (Excellent) VII rating.
This role is a key opportunity for a dynamic individual to drive business growth and develop strong agency relationships. The position involves evaluating risks, growing premium volume, and communicating Synergy Comp's unique value proposition. Synergy Comp's focus is on accounts with premiums ranging from $100,000 to $2M.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Management & Analysis: Maintain loss ratio profitability by conducting thorough risk assessments and risk analysis on new and renewal submissions.
- Agency & Broker Relationships: Develop, strengthen, and grow relationships with insurance agents and brokers who have a book in line with Synergy's target markets in the Upstate NY/W PA territory.
- Business Growth & Retention: Drive new business growth and ensure customer retention.
- Underwriting Review - New Submissions: Present account review details that meet growth and profitability expectations and model.
- Geographical Expansion - Field Representation & Education: Represent Synergy Comp in the field, educate agency partners, and ensure all activities adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements.
