Kish Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to support our Commercial Real Estate Relationship Managers in the Cleveland area through strong portfolio oversight, credit analysis, and risk management. This role plays a key part in maintaining the quality and performance of our commercial real estate portfolio while strengthening team capability through mentorship and process improvement. This position is primarily based in the office to support collaboration with lenders and credit partners, with limited remote work opportunities available depending on business needs.

What You’ll Do
Portfolio & Credit Management
- Support underwriting and preparation of credit packages for new loans and modifications
- Partner with Relationship Managers to actively manage commercial real estate loan portfolios
- Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with loan terms and regulatory expectations
- Analyze borrower financial statements and supporting data to assess credit strength
- Maintain accurate credit files, documentation, and covenant tracking
- Prepare credit recommendations including collateral evaluation, covenant analysis, and structure considerations
- Manage syndicated loan activity from underwriting through ongoing monitoring, including communication with participant banks
- Support resolution of portfolio issues and delinquency monitoring
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify workflow improvements and strengthen portfolio management processes
- Help implement consistent procedures and training across the lending team
- Partner cross-functionally to support shared initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and portfolio management staff to strengthen service delivery and efficiency
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor junior portfolio managers and analysts
- Support team development through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Help establish performance expectations and development goals in partnership with the Commercial Market Leader
- Contribute to training initiatives that strengthen technical expertise across the lending team
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in commercial lending or commercial real estate credit analysis
- Strong understanding of commercial and commercial real estate lending practices
- Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing borrower risk
- Working knowledge of lending regulations and internal credit policy expectations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance independent analysis with team partnership
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is primarily office-based and involves regular collaboration with lending partners and credit teams. Occasional remote work flexibility may be available based on performance and business needs. Work is largely sedentary with periodic standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally.
