What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook (Part Time) position at Kisco Senior Living?
Our Cooks @ Magnolia Glen provide the highest quality/presentation food to our residents, guests, and associates, to promote an excellent restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Part Time Friday - Monday (varied hours - dining closes by 8:30pm)
(25-28 hours weekly)
Pay Rate $19.50/hr - $21.50/hr (depending on experience)
Paid Vacation / 401K/ Free Meal each shift

What will I do every day?
- Assist in the production of creatively designed cuisine
- Cook according to menus, production sheet and recipes with consideration
- Maintain kitchen and food preparation in a clean and sanitary manner
- Deliver all invoices to Dining Services Director in a timely fashion
- Maintain records or meals served and records of food and supplies used as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school graduate preferred
- Minimum 5 years of cooking experience required
- Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to fully support kitchen brigade associates
- Demonstrates understanding of Mise en Place through proper placement and preparation of ingredients
- Must have Food Handler’s certification as required or being willing to obtain one.
