Kirwan Surgical Products LLC is seeking a full-time, self-motivated IT Support Specialist (Level 2–3) who is passionate about technology and cybersecurity to join our team. This role works closely with our external IT service provider but serves as the key on-site resource for the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, desktops, laptops, and related technology to ensure reliable and secure operations across the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Keeps educated and aware of the changing cybersecurity landscape and best practices.
- Installs, configures, and maintains desktop and laptop computers to ensure all systems are functioning optimally.
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and printers.
- Administer and optimize ERP software, including updates, customizations, integrations, and end user support.
- Provides support to end users within the company for password changes, lockout issues, and printing issues as needed.
- Resolves first and second level technology problems and performs troubleshooting for end users when required and draws valid conclusions. Escalates third level support issues to higher level resources as needed.
- Installs and configures application and operating system software and upgrades as needed.
- Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and network connectivity issues affecting the company.
- Removes old computers and performs data migration to new machine.
- Oversee the daily performance computer systems and evaluate software programs with regard to their compatibility with the standard desktop systems. Upgrades or replacements of hardware and software systems as needed.
- Schedules and performs work to meet reasonable timelines.
- Maintains physical inventory of equipment.
- Performs periodic reviews and maintenance on all security software to be sure all machines are enrolled, current and active.
- Performs periodic reviews of outside contracts to be sure all are current and that they are still up-to-date with current Kirwan and technology needs.
- Performs periodic reviews on licenses to be sure they are current and which department holds/uses them.
- Keeps educated and aware of the changing cybersecurity landscape and best practices.
- Look for areas to improve our technology infrastructure and take the lead in project execution.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of network-related project management experience, including hands-on troubleshooting, system administration, network management, or other IT support roles.
Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years of desktop support experience, with a strong track record of resolving technical issues for end users.
- Experience with server administration and SQL-based ERP systems (Infor CloudSuite Industrial or comparable systems preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Experience in performing software and hardware upgrades, including configuration and deployment tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, and network connectivity.
- Ability to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on PCs and related systems.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for workstations and laptops.
- Hands-on experience or industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
- Must be able to lift 35–50 lbs as required for equipment installation and maintenance.
Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
