Student Support Specialist (Part Time)

JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, answer phone calls for the Student Services Office during peak periods. The position also involves working with confidential information.

The work schedule will have variable hours between 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday. We will work around class schedule, but preference given to those with mid-day availability.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer questions via the phone regarding financial aid, admissions, registration and billing
• Perform limited duties to assist students with financial aid and registration.
• Receive and process Financial Aid and Enrollment documentation.
• Performs other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• Preference given to those with call center experience.
• Must be a Kirkwood student.
• Must type 50 WPM.
