It's a great time to start a career as a residential leasing agent! On behalf of Gardenside Terrace Cooperative, Kirkpatrick Management Company is seeking a new team member to assist in all stages of apartment leasing.
Knowledge
- Section 8 Experience preferred but not required.
- Customer and Personal Service -Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- English Language -Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Clerical -Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Psychology -Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation

Tasks*
- Greet visitors, schedule appointments for prospective members
- Provide initial applications to prospective members with the goal of scheduling an application interview.
- Maintain records of work orders, confidential member files, application logs and wait lists in accordance with Fair Housing and HUD guidelines
- Handle incoming calls
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Initiating credit and criminal reports
- Initiate Existing tenant searches on household members
- Communicate by telephone and in writing of acceptance or denial of applications in accordance with Company, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Fair Housing Policies
- Initiate the development of advertising and marketing plan for community, presents to management for implementation while seeking new outlets and venues for broader market outreach
- Ensure the office, business center, clubhouse, laundry facility, models, and target apartments are in perfect condition
- Clean, vacuum and dust as needed
- Physically inspect property on grounds and pick up litter and report any service needed to maintenance as needed
