Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across assigned areas.
- Conduct detailed floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, hallways, and other common areas according to established protocols.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with custodial tasks such as window washing, light maintenance, and minor repairs when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance to ensure a secure work environment.
- Support facility upkeep by performing general porter duties and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
