Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional appearance
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve surface quality
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks including heavy-duty sanitation in warehouses or manufacturing environments
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues
- Handle custodial duties related to trash removal, recycling collection, and restocking supplies
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and scrubbers efficiently
- Familiarity with custodial tasks in both residential painting projects and industrial settings
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
