Job Summary The Maintenance supervisor is responsible for equipment and facilities uptime in support of manufacturing operations and for compliance with national and local safety and building code compliance. Leads maintenance staff and contractors in equipment maintenance and improvement activities to ensure a safe, productive, and environmentally compliant environment for all employees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for all production and facilities equipment.
- Develop, monitor and drive results through performance metrics for the facilities maintenance team.
- Supervise the facilities maintenance team directly or indirectly through the team lead including (hiring, training, assigning work, providing performance feedback and disciplining).
- Manage long and short-term budgets, with the assistance of the Facilities Engineering Manager.
- Member of the plant safety team.
- Coordinate outside vendor activities.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure repair parts arrive in a timely manner.
- Oversee the spares and consumables stockroom.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred. 5-years' experience in manufacturing maintenance in lieu of a degree.
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment - 2 years as a leader
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing and HVAC.
- Knowledge and understanding of fire and safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and State building codes and local environmental agency rules and standards (e.g. SQAQMD).
Work Hours
Standard working hours are 6:00 A.M to 2:30 P.M., Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime, including Saturdays, may be required to accommodate production schedules. Nights and holidays may be required to accommodate special project work.
Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
