Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, and company quality assurance initiatives. Improve and support standardized processes to maintain a safe environment and to ensure high quality of our products.
Essential Duties: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Maintain current statutory, regulatory and customer requirements to ensure continued compliance.
· Coordinate programs to communicate, educate, train, and coach on total quality principles and practices.
· Ensure continuous improvement and training methods.
· Provide departments with quality planning and support.
· Analyzing product specifications and customer requirements
· Develop and implement quality control systems and checks.
· Performing routine inspection and testing of products and processes.
· Collaborating with product development teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production process.
· Investigate and address complaints regarding quality.
· Identify areas for quality improvement and proposing solutions.
· Document quality assurance activities and creating reports for management.
· Initiate and lead quality improvement projects.
· Assist in internal and external audits.
· Conduct internal inspections, audits and KPI reporting.
· Utilize precision measuring instruments to perform inspections and measurements on products (CMM, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
· Perform risk assessments and investigations when required.
· Monitor and report on all quality activities, processes, and procedures.
· Assist in the development of quality policies, processes, and procedures.
· Prepare and maintain business system documentation.
· Perform various other duties and activities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years’ experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of quality management system (QMS), auditing procedures, lean quality concepts.
Other Skills and Abilities:
· Experience in Six Sigma.
· Demonstrate high standards of ethical behavior and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to communicate clearly and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
