What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ag Equipment Operator position at Kirk Aughenbaugh- Agriculture?
Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer's fields, load employer's crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Pump manure, Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Set depth and seed rates fertilizer applications to match crop operations; Match speeds to crop operations; Move equipment to transport position and drives from field to field; Set heights of cutters, mowers and balers. Driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite; speak and understand English.
