Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the Mid-Atlantic.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of contractors, developers, and subcontractors.
- Conduct outreach, meetings, presentations, and site visits with prospective customers.
- Promote KCS’s staffing and workforce-development capabilities as solutions for project execution and workforce stability.
Strategic Growth & Expansion
- Support KCS’s expansion into new territories by building regional relationships and partnerships.
- Research market trends, upcoming projects, and regional labor demands.
- Help position KCS for government, municipal, and private sector contracting opportunities.
Account Management
- Maintain high-quality customer relationships with ongoing communication and responsiveness.
- Work collaboratively with KCS operations, workforce development, and staffing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Engagement
- Represent KCS at networking events, career fairs, trade associations, and conferences.
- Promote KCS’s mission of training, developing, and placing high-quality construction talent.
Qualifications
- Experience within the construction industry is required.
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management (construction, staffing, or workforce development experience preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and meet revenue targets.
- Familiarity with construction workforce needs, certifications, and project cycles is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Mid-Atlantic construction market preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
