Responsible for various Accounting Department functions, primarily focusing on equipment sales processing and sales commission calculations.
Accountant Essential Functions
- Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
- Receives and reviews equipment sales documentation submitted for processing
- Processes equipment sales invoices
- Calculates commissions that are due on equipment sales
- Reviews financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Adept at organizing, planning, and completing tasks to manage a high volume of department paperwork
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance
