Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors to secure significant financial support for the clients whom we faithfully serve. You will leverage your tech skills to identify, research, and engage potential major donors, as well as manage and track donor interactions using client CRM systems. This position requires frequent (day, not overnight) travel to meet with donors, attend events, and represent the organization professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with church, school, and/or nonprofit leadership to develop strategies that may raise and steward gifts.
- Identify and research potential major donors using various online tools and databases.
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, including personalized communication and engagement plans.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to create compelling fundraising campaigns and initiatives targeting major donors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in client CRM systems, including donation tracking, contact information, and acknowledgment processes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to major donors and stakeholders, effectively communicating the impact of their support.
