Responsibilities:
- Provide a full range of hair services including cuts, color, styling, and treatments for all hair types
- Perform barbering services such as men's cuts, fades, tapers, and beard trims
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend appropriate services
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation in compliance with state regulations
- Build and retain a loyal client base through exceptional customer service
- Stay current on the latest hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge
- Upsell retail products and additional services to enhance the client experience
Requirements:
- Valid New York State Cosmetology or Barbering license required
- Experience in hairstyling, barbering, or a combination of both preferred
- Proficiency in cuts, color, fades, and styling techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Self-motivated with the ability to build and grow a personal clientele
