At Kirby Risk Electrical Supply, our Customer Service Supervisors play a critical role in driving branch success through customer service, employee development, operational effectiveness, and collaborative leadership.
You’ll
What You’ll Do as a Customer Service Supervisor
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement that encourages growth and continuous improvement
- Monitor branch scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for daily operational needs
- Select, train, mentor, coach, and conduct performance reviews to promote employee development
- Partner with branch leadership on employee selection, onboarding, and assimilation in the branch culture
- Create and cultivate relationships with other branches, departments, customers, and vendors to drive collaboration and support branch success
- Proactively resolve customer issues by identifying solutions and coordinating appropriate resources to minimize disruptions and maintain customer confidence
- Manage all branch operations including Sales Support, Warehouse, Counter, Inside Sales, and Delivery Drivers to maintain continuity and operational effectiveness
- Guarantee the customer counter experience by following planogram standards and maintaining displays, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional customer-facing environment
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety practices and procedures
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years of relevant work experience in wholesale industry
- 3 years of strong interpersonal leadership and customer contact skills
- Knowledge of electrical products and their applications
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Committed to best practices for leadership competencies, people development, and learning
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to lead by example, promote morale, goal setting and demonstrate teamwork
- Computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office
- Ability to push, pull, carry, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
- Bend, stoop, twist, reach, pinch, grab, and shift positions frequently
- Talk or hear both in person and by telephone
- Ability to adjust focus, close vision, discern parts numbers, and signage
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Occasional travel required
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, with overtime as needed
