What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Float Pool position at Kirby Medical Center?
Location: Monticello, Illinois
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: assigned or floated to cover 4 hour increments up to entire 12 hour shift in Float departments between the hours of 6:30am-7:00pm.
Float Departments include: Med/Surg, Surgery and Quick Care, Emergency Department
Job Summary:
The Float Registered Nurse (RN) is a flexible, highly skilled professional who provides direct and indirect acute patient care within the RN's scope of practice, across various hospital units or clinical settings, to provide additional staff support with staffing shortages or surges in high patient volumes. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all floated departments with adequate supervision.

Regulatory Requirements:
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
- ACLS and PALS certification within one year from hire date.
