Responsibilities
- Service Orchestration: Manage the ticket wheel and call out orders clearly, ensuring the hot line, pantry, and prep stations are perfectly synchronized on timing.
- Quality Control: Inspect every plate before it leaves the kitchen, ensuring it meets Kira's high standards for presentation, temperature, garnish, and exact modification requests.
- Floor & Flow Management: Maintain robust floor coverage at the pass during peak hours, ensuring food is run immediately while it is fresh and hot.
- Team Communication: Act as the positive, clear link between Front-of-House and Back-of-House, managing pacing, firing times, and special guest requests smoothly.
- Station Organization: Keep the expo station meticulously clean, stocked, and organized with all necessary trays, garnishes, and service tools throughout the night.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Handle fast-moving changes on the fly with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude to keep the kitchen line and the service staff aligned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Restaurant Experience: Proven experience as a kitchen expo, food runner, or lead line cook in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Exceptional Communication: Brilliant, assertive, and clear verbal communication skills with the ability to lead the kitchen's rhythm.
- Composure & Drive: Ability to stay completely calm, focused, and upbeat under the pressure of a busy Saturday night rush.
- Organization & Detail: Laser-sharp attention to detail with the ability to track multiple tickets, table numbers, and dietary restrictions simultaneously.
- Reliability & Synergy: A dependable teammate who takes pride in flawless attendance and loves contributing to a supportive, high-energy environment.
