THE OPPORTUNITY

Kipsu is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a unique and interesting role in a high growth, leading edge Minneapolis based software company. Here, you complete a variety of finance -related projects and learn what finance support looks like in a small, growing company.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly Closing: Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, and accruals
• Reconciling Accounts: Reconciling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank account, and general ledger entries.
• Financial statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, retained earnings and cash flow statement.
• Budgeting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Tax returns: Assist with preparing and filing tax returns.
• Daily Tasks: Including but not limited to - entering vendor invoices; cash applications of customer payments; assisting with collections; and other.
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000 and your starting pay would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education.
