Kippen Concrete Cutting is hiring eight people for an immediate temporary night-shift project on I-15 in Draper, Utah. We are filling general laborer/apprentice positions and a sweeper truck driver assignment.
Schedule
- Sunday through Thursday nights
- 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Approximately 50 hours per week
- Temporary project position starting immediately
General Laborer / Apprentice Pay
- $22.00 per hour base rate
- $27.00 per hour while assigned to this I-15 project
Sweeper Truck Driver Pay
- Pay is based on experience
General Laborer / Apprentice Duties
- Support concrete cutting operators and the night crew
- Load, unload, organize, and move tools, equipment, and materials
- Help set up and clean the work area
- Perform hands-on general labor and follow crew instructions
- Work safely around active highway construction operations
- Complete other project tasks as assigned
Sweeper Truck Driver Duties
- Operate the sweeper truck safely in and around the work zone
- Keep the roadway and project area clean
- Complete basic pre-shift and post-shift equipment checks
- Communicate with the crew and follow project safety procedures
- Help with general project tasks when needed
Required
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record — this is a must
- Able to work the full Sunday-through-Thursday overnight schedule
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Able to perform physical outdoor work during a 10-hour night shift
- Safety-minded and able to follow directions in an active work zone
- Available to start immediately
Experience pulling trailers is a plus. Construction, concrete cutting, sweeper truck, or related equipment experience is helpful, but motivated general laborer/apprentice candidates are encouraged to apply.
