Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) delivers speech and language services that help students access instruction and make progress toward their Individualized Education Program (IEP) communication goals. Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, this role partners with educators, families, and student support teams to provide high-quality, compliant services that support student success. In this role, you execute assigned tasks with quality and on time, working within a scope set by your supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. You determine how to complete your assigned work and escalate decisions requiring clinical judgment or changes to student programming. Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications Experience Experience supporting students with speech, language, or communication needs through clinical placements, internships, or professional practice. Demonstrated knowledge of speech-language intervention techniques and special education service delivery. Education Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or completion of a California-approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant preparation program. Current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in good standing. Knowledge/skills Knowledge of speech-language intervention strategies and IEP implementation. Knowledge of federal and California special education regulations applicable to the SLPA scope of practice. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Commitment to educational equity and KIPP NorCal's mission. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese. Experience working with students from historically underserved communities. Experience in a TK–12 educational setting.
