This is a full-time, on-site position as a Classroom Lead Teacher in Washington, DC. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and creating an engaging classroom environment. Additional responsibilities include assessing student progress, fostering strong communication with families, and supporting the social and academic growth of all students. The Classroom Lead Teacher will also contribute to onsite training and development activities in alignment with KIPP DC's educational mission.
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, with a focus on creating engaging and dynamic learning experiences
- Strong Communication and Teaching skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency in Training and supporting the development of classroom strategies and practices
- Commitment to ensuring equity and excellence in education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or working towards certification
- Demonstrated experience working in diverse and inclusive educational settings
