Graphic Designer (JanSport & Eastpak Americas)

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Graphic Designer on the Americas Eastpak, JanSport and Kipling Commercial Team looks a little like this.

The America’s Packs Graphic Designer works as a member of our Creative team who will report into the Associate Creative Director. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing various digital and traditional marketing needs for the Jansport, Eastpak and Kipling brands.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

• Design, execute, and deploy various creative deliverables as briefed
• Collaborate with the larger Creative team to translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established seasonal design language and brand identity
• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with Creative, Brand and Wholesale Marketing, Ecommerce, and other team members, meeting deadlines and scheduling project implementation based on workload
• Execute against integrated marketing projects across digital channels
• Lead all graphic design for emails, digital advertising, content, and social engagement needs, etc.
• Retouch images as needed for creative assets
• Execute digital assets directly in the Shopify platform
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and varying timelines
• Manage and track assigned projects in our CMS
• Be ready to assist with digital projects for Kipling, Jansport and Eastpak
  
  

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while a Bachelors of Fine Arts – Graphic Design is great to have, we are most interested in your two to three years of business experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Breadth of design experience including brand, digital, video and social media
• Experience in composition and layout design
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead and manage multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to provide rationale for executed work as defined by Creative Brief
• Strong knowledge of Figma and the Adobe Suite
• Ability to prioritize work based on deadlines and efficiencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

• Experience with motion graphics, animation & front-end web design
• Experience using Shopify

Hiring Range:

$74,800.00 USD - $93,500.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
