Position Summary
The Cannabis Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and compliantly delivering cannabis products to qualified customers using a company-provided vehicle. This dual-badged role allows team members to flex between in-store duties and deliveries. The position emphasizes exceptional customer service, strict regulatory compliance, accurate record-keeping, and professionalism in a highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the company-provided compliant vehicle (equipped with cameras and security features) to complete deliveries along established routes.
- Wear a body camera during all deliveries as required.
- Perform thorough age (21 ) and ID verification for every customer before completing transactions.
- Process payments exclusively via bank transfer, CanPay, or debit card. Apply any debit change as store credit for the customer’s next purchase.
- Educate customers on products, new arrivals, promotions, and price changes.
- Maintain accurate digital manifests, delivery logs, inventory records, and compliance documentation.
- Load, secure, and unload products while following all chain-of-custody and security protocols.
- Provide professional customer service, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive experience.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and secure at all times.
- Report mechanical issues, route problems, or security concerns immediately.
- Flex between delivery and in-store budtender duties as a dual-badged team member when needed.
- Adhere to all Maryland cannabis regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting for cannabis industry employment.
- Dual-badging eligibility for KIP Cannabis.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail and reliability with compliance documentation.
- Comfortable using technology (delivery apps, payment platforms, body cam).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- High integrity and discretion.

Important Note
Tips for deliveries are retained 100% by the driver. A contingency plan for hybrid budtender-delivery scenarios will be implemented to ensure fair tip distribution.
