Job Summary

The Facilities Supervisor will manage, train and motivate team members within the Facilities department. Perform general maintenance and landscape work such as, but not limited to painting, repair, general carpentry and mowing as directed to repair and otherwise maintain all facilities, furnishings, and equipment in a timely and professional manner. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.

Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.

Repair and/or train staff to repair damaged facilities and furnishings.

Create staff schedules for manager approval.

Train, supervise and schedule department staff on a continual basis.

Perform preventative maintenance as directed.

Paint, repair, and hang drywall and wallpaper.

Perform minor repairs of plumbing systems and equipment.

Perform facility modifications as directed.

Clean or monitor staff to clean parking lot and equipment as needed.

Mow grass, plow snow, water lawn, tend to flower beds, and regularly inspect assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained.

Operate lawn and ground equipment including power mowers and other power equipment.

Plant, and maintain exterior and interior landscaping in accordance with the landscaping plan.

Repair and maintain property walkways and lots.

Supervise and schedule the proper maintenance and cleanliness of properties; monitor staff or personally remove trash from grounds; repair carpets; move furniture and equipment.

Promptly respond to all repair requests.

Offer support and assistance to other Team Members and departments.

Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information.

Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others.

Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


High School diploma or GED is required.

2 years from a Vocational Tech School and 3 years of experience in plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge of all safety procedures associated with the wellbeing of the building and of the Guest and Team Members.

Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations preferred.

Working knowledge of the building specifications and requirements preferred.


REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES


Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to work cooperatively with all departments and all team members.

Good computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency).

Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Ability to maintain high confidentiality.

Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to prioritize tasks and schedules.

Ability to follow directions.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises all facilities staff.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS


Valid Driver's License and be insurable on Company's Policy

Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming License is required.

Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.

Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test.

Job requirements include ability to lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.

While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 75 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files. Must be able climb a ladder and use power tools and powered landscape equipment as needed.
