Housekeeping/ Laundry

Job Summary

The Hotel Housekeeping and Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards throughout guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities. This position ensures guests receive clean accommodations, fresh linens, and exceptional service while supporting overall hotel operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Housekeeping

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public areas.
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and guest amenities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards.
• Remove trash and properly dispose of waste materials.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items to management.
• Stock housekeeping carts and supply closets.

Laundry

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel laundry items.
• Operate laundry equipment according to established procedures.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Monitor laundry and housekeeping supply levels and report shortages.
• Follow all safety guidelines for handling cleaning products and laundry chemicals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

· Previous housekeeping / Laundry experience would be ideal however not required

Work Schedule

• Full-time or part-time position available.
• Typical shifts range from 6 to 8 hours depending on hotel operational needs.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
• Schedule may vary based on occupancy levels, special events, and staffing requirements.
• Employees are expected to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work in laundry and housekeeping environments with exposure to cleaning products and varying temperatures.

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
