Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients in accordance with kitchen standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and presentable
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and bulk ingredients safely and efficiently
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, and food prep tools while adhering to safety guidelines
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen by following health and safety standards
- Assist with food handling procedures during meal service, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards are desirable
- Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates readiness for this role
