PURPOSE OF JOB

To process shipments accurately in a timely manner in compliance with Kintetsu World Express (U.S.A.), Inc. (KWE) operations policies. To confirm all Master Airway Bill (MAWB) are confirmed with accurate charge and/or cost protection in Unified Freight System(UFS). To distribute damage and/or inventory report from Cargo Freight Station(CFS) to each operation agent. To ensure that all loading, distribution work and re-icing work at warehouse is processed based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in place.

  • Long term disability (LTD) coverage;
  • Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage


Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • PTO begins to accrue for eligible new hires on their first day of employment with the Company, subject to the accrual cap.


Paid Holidays

  • Newly hired employees are entitled to all mandatory and optional/shift holidays that remain for the calendar year. A newly hired employee who begins employment after January 1 of the calendar year is not entitled to more than ten (12) paid holidays for that calendar year.


Retirement Plan

  • 401(k) Plan (current employer match .50 cents for each employee dollar) subject to the current vesting schedule.


Student Loan Assistance

  • Eligible for student loan assistance after three (3) months of continuous employment, pending verification.
  • Company monthly contribution of $437.50, not to exceed an annual contribution of $5,250.00.
  • Any eligible employee participating in both Student Loan Assistance Program and Tuition Reimbursement Program is subject to a total maximum annual amount of $5,250.00 for both programs combined for the calendar year.


Tuition Reimbursement

  • Eligibility for Tuition Reimbursement is three (3) months of continuous employment.
  • Reimbursement is limited to $5,250.00 per employee per calendar year.
  • Any eligible employee participating in both Student Loan Assistance Program and Tuition Reimbursement Program is subject to a total maximum annual amount of $5,250.00 for both programs combined for the calendar year.


Wellness Day

  • Eligible for one (1) Wellness Day for an annual physical exam per year subject to submission of required documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process daily pre-alerts and shipping documents according to both branch and customer requirements to provide arrival details prior to flight arrival. Daily
  • Contact carrier for on-board confirmation to trace consolidation movements, Daily.
  • Process advance payments Import Service Fee (ISF) to either Carrier or Cargo Freight Station, by Cargosprint or carrier voucher prior to flight arrival to ensure shipments can bereleased to designated vendor for pick up without delay for timely delivery to avoid incurring storage charges
  • Keep all related shipping documents, along with backups such as TSF payment proof, warehouse transfer requests, manifests, etc., in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Create consolidation file folder with detailed information that is required by import Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), maintain copy of airline payments (Cargosprint, voucher copy or draft check) copy, Daily.
  • Document turn over to Brokerage department. or customer's designated broker, Daily.
  • Dispatch with trucker for delivery, and enter proof of delivery (POD) date & time in UFS, Daily.
  • Confirm MAWB via UFS by entering accurate information and cost protection, Daily.
  • Check the Inventory List for each CFS and inform the Operation agents in Customer Service, Brokerage and Gateway Department, Daily
  • Process Preliminary Claim for damaged and/or missing cargo to Airlines, if needed
  • Inform CFS's damage report to Operation agents in Customer Service, Brokerage and Gateway Department, Daily
  • Enter proof of delivery (POD) date & time in UFS, Daily
  • Attend cargo loading at CFS and/or Airlines Warehouse to ensure if the loading is processed as per SOP in place, Daily
  • Pick up and/or drop freight from/at CFS and/or Airlines Warehouse by company car, If needed
  • Create FedEx and/or UPS label and put labels on cargo based on customer's instruction and/or SOP in place, if needed
  • Process the IT/IE&T&E entry(7512) via UFS Plus or Cargowise to handle inbond shipment, Daily
  • Make the manifest for shuttle truck operation with high-loading efficiency, less-damage and on schedule. Daily
  • Report any irregularity in operations to Manager or Supervisor in timely manner, If needed
  • Understand the expectations related to Quality Management System (QMS)and how to create Incident Report, Daily

List any required special attributes (ability to move/pick-up certain weight capacity, personality traits, certainaptitudes, etc.) Ability to work in a fast paced environment, Ability to move and/or pick-up 15kg per pieces. Ability to operate and safely drive when needed.

List any required experience (of what type, for what duration, in what industry, etc.) Ability to multitask under pressure while meeting deadlines
