The Director of Clinical Informatics leads Kintegra’s Clinical Informatics and Health Information Management departments. In this role, you will:
- Design and implement clinical systems and workflows that improve patient care and operational performance.
- Lead enterprise initiatives for clinical documentation standardization and workflow optimization.
- Strategize and optimize processes for records processing and release of information in alignment with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align initiatives with organizational goals.
- Oversee budgets, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead change management initiatives to enhance staff productivity, efficiency, quality, population health outcomes, and financial performance.
- Standardize documentation across all clinical platforms (e.g., EPIC, Dentrix) while meeting regulatory and workflow requirements.
- Collaborate with leaders and end users to define solutions that meet the needs of clinicians and support staff.
- Develop and maintain processes to monitor system usage, collect feedback, and continuously improve clinical systems.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations regarding health information management.
- Maintain accuracy, reliability, and security of clinical data, including protected health information.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and strategic initiatives.
- Foster a positive department culture aligned with Kintegra’s core values.
- Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in clinical informatics and health information management.
- Conduct staff education and training as needed.
- Experience:
- 7 years in Nursing or a related healthcare field
- 5 years in leadership/management roles
- Experience with outpatient primary care practices
- Proven ability to lead system-wide projects across multidisciplinary teams
- Skills:
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
- Expertise in healthcare operations and project management
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (Nursing Informatics preferred), Health Information Management, or Computer Science
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN)
