Location: Orlando, FL
An established commercial general contractor is looking to hire a Project Scheduler to support its growing construction operations in Orlando.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with commercial construction scheduling or project controls experience who wants to join a long-standing, well-regarded contractor with around $300M in annual project revenue, a strong reputation across the Southeast, and a culture built around long-term client relationships, repeat work, collaboration, and people-first leadership.

The Project Scheduler will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Preconstruction teams and company leadership to develop, maintain and analyze project schedules from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update commercial construction project schedules.
- Create baseline schedules, monthly updates, look-ahead schedules and recovery schedules when needed.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to understand field progress, sequencing, manpower, procurement, milestones and critical path activities.
- Support project teams with CPM scheduling, schedule analysis and reporting.
- Identify potential delays, logic issues, float concerns, sequencing conflicts and schedule risks.
- Assist teams in developing practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule updates clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support preconstruction and operations teams with planning, constructability input and project execution strategy.
- Help ensure schedules are realistic, accurate and aligned with project requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in construction scheduling, project controls, project management or field operations.
- Commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, CPM scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination and critical path activities.
- Experience using **Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software**.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and project documents.
- Ability to work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify schedule risk and provide practical solutions.
Preferred Background
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor, construction manager or project controls team.
- Exposure to ground-up commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial or interiors projects.
- Ability to build schedules from scratch as well as maintain and analyze existing schedules.
- Experience supporting monthly schedule update meetings, recovery planning and project reporting.
- Experience with procurement tracking, long-lead materials, schedule narratives, S-curves or executive reporting is a plus.
