EstimatorBuilding Restoration / Exterior Construction (NYC)About the CompanyA well-established New York City construction firm specialising in façade restoration, masonry and exterior structural rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.Role & ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals for exterior restoration projects.Review drawings, specifications, and project scopes with project management and engineering teams.Obtain, analyse, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.Maintain and update cost databases, production rates, and estimating templates.Support pre-construction efforts, including conceptual budgeting and bid clarifications.Present bids and recommendations to leadership, highlighting key assumptions, risks, and value options.Track estimating performance vs. actual costs and participate in post-project reviews.Qualifications5 years of estimating experience within restoration, façade, or exterior construction (NYC experience preferred).Solid understanding of building envelopes, restoration methods, and materials.Proficiency with take-off and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Excel).Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Compensation & BenefitsSalary up to $150,000, depending on experience.Performance-based bonus opportunities.Full benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans.Paid time off and professional development support.Chance to work on high-profile, technically challenging projects across the NYC metro area.Company DescriptionKintec Search is a provider of talent to the construction, engineering and renewable energy industries throughout the United States.
