Dental Receptionist / Front Desk

Kinston Dental Care is looking to add a dental receptionist / front desk assistant to our small, close-knit team! We are a single-doctor, privately owned general family dental practice. Typical office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8-5 with lunch from 1-2, so team members arrive by 7:45am and typically leave between 5:15-5:30pm. Benefits include monthly bonuses, PTO, 8 paid holidays, retirement contributions, and regularly scheduled breaks. We value work-life balance and like to work hard and play hard, so we take approximately one long weekend per month and one week off quarterly (March-Spring break, 4th of July week, September-Fall break, and Week of Christmas). Office closures are planned well in advance to allow team members to plan vacations or schedule life with greater ease. Annual hours worked are approximately 1,500.

Job responsibilities include:

• Help to open and close the office each day
• Welcome and check-in patients with warmth and professionalism
• Manage phones, schedule, and confirm appointments efficiently
• Verify insurance and process payments
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with various administrative tasks
• Coordinate with and support clinical team for smooth patient flow
• Help to keep the office clean and welcoming for our patients
• Assist with various office maintenance tasks

Job Requirements:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Dental knowledge and experience (Preferred)
• Radiography Certification (Preferred)
• Spanish Speaking (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time
