Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Second Shift Leader and CNC Machine Operator. This position requires the ability to oversee a 4-5 person shift while actively participating in the production process as a working foreman. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in operating CNC machines, and the ability to learn and operate large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead a team of 4-5 individuals during the second shift, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Supervision: Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, including training and development as needed.
- Production Operation: Operate CNC machines efficiently and effectively to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Machine Operation: Learn and master the operation of large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor production output to ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine maintenance, and any relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred.
- Proven experience in CNC machine operation; familiarity with large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines is a plus.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
