Second Shift Leader and CNC Machine Operator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Second Shift Leader and CNC Machine Operator. This position requires the ability to oversee a 4-5 person shift while actively participating in the production process as a working foreman. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in operating CNC machines, and the ability to learn and operate large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Lead a team of 4-5 individuals during the second shift, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
2. Supervision: Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, including training and development as needed.
3. Production Operation: Operate CNC machines efficiently and effectively to meet production goals and quality standards.
4. Machine Operation: Learn and master the operation of large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines.
5. Quality Assurance: Monitor production output to ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with specifications.
6. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
7. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine maintenance, and any relevant documentation.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred.
2. Proven experience in CNC machine operation; familiarity with large band saws, multi-spindle drills, and oxy-fuel coping machines is a plus.
3. Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. Flexibility to work second shift hours as required.
8. Commitment to safety and quality standards.
