SUMMARY
The CNC Saw Drill Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the a saw to cut steel beams to length.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Select correct machine settings for optimal sawing operations.
- Measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications.
- Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions.
- Transfer appropriate data onto materials.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Keep an accurate record of daily operations and material usage.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist in trouble shooting any machine issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with operating CNC machines or experience with sawing/cutting operations is required.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to within 1/16".
- Skilled with safely operating overhead cranes and the material transfer/convey system.
- Possess ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes is preferred.
- Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environments.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and uphold our core values of being customer-centric and problem solvers.
- Will work on 2nd shift.
