Position Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in project management including administrative and technical support to the Field Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the field leadership team to support the overall process of Structural Steel Erection and Miscellaneous Metals Installation on multiple projects
- Prepare, coordinate, review, and execute field installation/ erection submittals, sub-contracts, blueprints/drawings, and other critical documents
- Communicate and coordinate with project management & field operations team to maintain schedule and delivery of materials
- Assist in establishing schedules that include preconstruction planning, submittals, shipping, erection, and closeout procedures
- Assist Field Teams in performing and documenting project badging requirements
- Effectively organize and maintain documents for the project file
- 2-4 year post-secondary degree in a related field preferred
- Prior experience in construction or steel fabrication/erection preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera) preferred
- Valid US driver's license is required
- Knowledge of Trimble and Bluebeam software programs is a plus
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel construction
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures
- Ability to understand and apply varying levels of mathematics relevant to the position
- Possess at minimum the tools as required to field measure, verify, and audit basic conformity standards
