Kinship House is actively seeking a full-time Child & Family Therapist to join our team of committed, dynamic individuals! Kinship House is a regional non-profit outpatient mental health provider addressing the mental health needs of the most vulnerable children in our local child welfare system. Salary:
- QMHP/Master's: $63,689.60
- Licensed OR Bilingual: $65,918.74
- Licensed AND Bilingual: $68,147.87

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Complete written mental health assessment & differential diagnosis for each child assigned to you.
- Provide individualized written treatment plans and mental health therapy.
- Provide family therapy with foster, adoptive and birth families as needed to benefit each child.
- Provide specialized family therapy for sibling groups placed in separate homes.
- Provide group therapy as needed and available.
- Consult with birth parents or other family members to assist them in supporting each child’s placement, and to help facilitate ongoing relationships whenever possible.
- Provide ongoing support & consultations with adoptive families at all phases of the adoption process.
- Provide education and advocacy in all partnering systems for clients.
- Provide expert testimony on behalf of children in the court system.
- Attend all staff meetings and clinical supervision meetings.
- Abide by Grievance Procedures as delineated in Kinship House personnel policy.
- Provide Kinship House with a resume and proof of licensure if applicable.
- Attend outside agency training as assigned.
- Other clinical jobs as needed.
Essential Functions
Demonstrated understanding of:
- Health care laws and regulations, including HIPAA
- Principles and practices of information privacy laws, access, and release of information
- Knowledge of procedures and workflows in a community mental health organization
- Knowledge and systems understanding of foster-care, adoption, reunification and other child welfare and related court practices.
- Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality
Demonstrated ability/willingness to:
- Perform clinical services including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing treatment.
- Manage a caseload of 28 clients at a minimum (for a 40 hpw position)
- Work as part of a team and willingness to promote the principles and views of Kinship House.
- Confident public speaking and ability to clearly express ideas verbally and in writing.
- Maintain accurate records and files
- Engage in and support an ever evolving equity based work environment
- Intermediate computer skills required as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work well with people from all backgrounds with varying degrees of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a State of Oregon QMHP eligible field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of clinical experience
- Experience working with children and families involved in the Child Welfare system
- Knowledge of and experience with family court and adoption
- Demonstrated understanding of health care laws and regulations, including HIPAA
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of information privacy laws, access, and release of information
