Job Summary
We are a liquor and BBQ supplies store in Olathe. We are a quickly growing store and we are seeking motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associates to join our team. We are looking for associates to partner with our current staff as our business continues to grow.
Opportunities include:
part time day shift (must include at least 1-2 weekend shifts)
part time evening shift (must include at least 1-2 weekend shifts)
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively to encourage sales.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve sales performance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to self-motivate to complete necessary tasks during the shift (including but not limited to: stocking, cleaning, organizing, customer support, cashier).
- A positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn are critical for success in this role.
