What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight RN/LPN - NOC Shift position at Kinnic Health and Rehab?
About the Position
We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled RN or LPN to join our team for the overnight/NOC shift. This position is responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care to our residents while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night.
The ideal candidate is reliable, calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents according to their individual care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately
- Complete nursing assessments, documentation, and required charting
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate provider, family members, and/or on-call personnel
- Respond to emergencies and follow facility policies and procedures
- Supervise and support CNA/caregiving staff as appropriate
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing duties as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life
- Complete overnight rounds and ensure residents' needs are addressed throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain
- Previous long-term care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or geriatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Dependable attendance and a commitment to providing excellent resident care
