What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Technician C position at Kinkisharyo International, LLC?
The Mechanical Technician C will work to ensure mechanical components of rail cars are removed and installed to meet customer specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Kinkisharyo standards of safety and quality are followed on all work performed
- Ensure to maintain neat and clean work areas
- Report any shortages, discrepancies, damaged, defective parts/items or problem in timely manner
- Ensure the work performed meets quality standards
- Responsible for not damaging products, parts, vehicle etc.
- Perform re-works on squawks as needed
- Perform work per W/I or EN/EIN
- Understand and follow blueprints, work instructions, Customer guidelines and specifications
- Will be required to perform other duties
Qualifications
- HS Diploma with 2 years’ experience in related field
- Professional demeanor and ability to work in teams
- Ability to follow directions and instructions from leads, foremen, supervisors, managers, and other members of production team to obtain the necessary skills for Mechanical Technician B
- Ability to successfully pass background, drug, and physical screenings
- Must be able to learn the use of hand, pneumatic and power tools including, but not limited to: screwdrivers, drills, tapping guns, and riveters
- Must be able to learn to read, interpret and work from blueprints and work instructions
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
