The Parts Runner is responsible for supporting field operations by delivering parts, tools, equipment, and materials to jobsites in a timely and efficient manner. This role plays a critical part in keeping crews productive by ensuring they have the necessary materials to complete their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver parts, materials, tools, and supplies to jobsites and company facilities
- Coordinate with field supervisors, mechanics, and warehouse staff regarding parts needs
- Verify accuracy of parts and materials before delivery
- Maintain delivery logs and documentation as required
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles
- Follow all safety policies and traffic laws while operating company vehicles
- Support warehouse or yard operations as needed
- Communicate delays, shortages, or issues promptly to supervisors
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs. or more as needed)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, or equipment preferred
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Frequent driving between jobsites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Must comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Required to use PPE as appropriate
- May be subject to drug and alcohol testing per company policy
- Prior experience in construction, warehouse, logistics, or field support roles
- Familiarity with local vendors and supply houses
