Job Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to members and guests from arrival to departure of the golf course
- Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers
- The position will emphasize mostly on the driving range area.
- Provide assistance to members and guests of the golf facilities from arrival to departure of golf course. Ensures Members and Member’s guests are welcomed and attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner. Provide assistance with golf club and/or personal effects of the guest. Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
- Ensures the clean and orderly appearance of the golf facility throughout the day by continually servicing the practice range, target greens, putting greens, chipping areas, and cart staging area.
- Observe on-course pace of play and coordinate pace of play with starter and other rangers. Assist golfers with information that may help them play the course such as rules, yardage markers, location of rest stations, areas to avoid with carts, etc.
- Assist with special events and ensure members and guests are following safety procedures
- Adhere to company procedures and policies
- Ensure all equipment and areas are clean and working properly before giving them to members and guests
- Assist golf shop staff in preparing for and running tournaments, clinics and other special events. Assist starter on the tee as well as on the course with the flow of play and starting times
- Provide exceptional customer service while acting as an information source to members and guests
- Completing any other task/duties assigned
- Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
- Golf course or customer service experience of at least 6 months is required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Exposure to various types of Georgia weather conditions including: sunshine, snow, heat, and rain.
- Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull at least 50lbs.
