Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring meals are made according to established recipes and standards
- Support menu planning efforts by helping organize ingredients and supplies for daily service
- Handle food with care, following proper safety and sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Serve food efficiently while providing friendly customer service to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing utensils
- Contribute to catering events by preparing and serving meals in a timely manner
- Follow all food safety protocols and handle food products responsibly to ensure quality and compliance
- Obtain Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is highly desirable
- Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings will be considered an asset
- Strong knife skills, meal preparation abilities, and understanding of food safety practices are important
