Kingswood Senior Living in South Kansas City is looking for a dynamic Fitness Coordinator to join our growing community. The Fitness Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and organization of the overall operations of the Kingswood Fitness Center, the Aquatic Center and any related Community Fitness and Wellness Programming. They will schedule and lead fitness programs for residents, adhering to all nationally recognized guidelines and Kingswood Senior Living policies.
This position requires:
- Bachelors Degree and/or Nationally Recognized Certification in Health, Fitness or Wellness.
- Certification in Senior Fitness, Wellness/Group Exercise or the ability to obtain this within 3 months of hire is a plus.
- One year's experience in working with a senior population.

What you'll do:
- Teach group exercise classes providing a range of acceptable activities to meet the various fitness levels of class participants and adhering to appropriate safety guidelines while keeping classes inviting, challenging, and well-attended.
- Plan, organize, implement, evaluate the ongoing operations of the Kingswood fitness center.
- Meet with administration as well as other related departments in planning Fitness and Wellness programs and activities.
- Inspect the fitness center, all fitness equipment and pool area prior to use to ensure safety and compliance with current applicable regulations.
- Maintain records of the resident use of, and attendance in, any/all fitness and aquatic programming.
- Interact with residents on a personal and business level as appropriate.
