Role Description
This is a career-defining opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to help shape the financial infrastructure of a high-growth firm. You will lead core financial operations including P&L oversight, cashflow management, vendor coordination, and cross-departmental reporting functions.
This is not a passive reporting role—it's a leadership seat within a fast-moving, mission-driven organization. You will report directly to executive leadership and work closely with department heads across Finance, HR, compliance, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Own internal financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close processes
- Maintain and improve cashflow forecasting, liquidity planning, and capital visibility
- Develop and implement internal financial controls, policies, and process improvements
- Partner with the billing and revenue operations team to ensure accurate advisor compensation and client billing
- Consolidate branch- and advisor-level P&Ls across a distributed national platform
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract optimization, and company-wide bill pay
- Assist executive leadership with financial modeling, strategic planning, and private equity readiness
- Supervise and mentor finance staff as necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of finance/accounting experience, ideally in wealth management, RIA platforms, or multi-entity environments
- Proven success in a Controller, Director of Finance, or VP Finance capacity
- Deep technical knowledge of accounting principles and operational finance functions
- Confident, hands-on leader capable of both strategy and detailed execution
- Strong systems orientation and ability to build scalable workflows
- CPA or CFA strongly preferred, but not required
