The job of Substitute School Nurse was established for the purpose/s of serving in the capacity of the school nurse in their absence. This includes assessing the health needs of students, developing emergency care plans and individual health plans, incorporating input from parent and/or physician; complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to teachers staff, and administrators; and identifying health problems for referral for proper treatment in the absence of the regular School Nurse.
Pay Rates:
Sub Nurse, R.N. $35 per hour
Sub Nurse, L.P.N. $25 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Tennessee
Equivalency: None specified
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired
Certificates & Licenses: Nursing License; Health Care Provider CPR Certification;
Required Testing: None Specified
Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
Continuing Education/Training: Must maintain current nursing license
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
