RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER
$20-$25 hour | 2 Years Restoration Experience Required
Kingsley Water Damage & Fire Cleanup is hiring an experienced Restoration Project Manager in West Columbia, SC.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with at least two years of restoration experience, previous management experience, and current IICRC WRT and ASD certifications who is ready to take ownership of multiple active projects.
As a Project Manager, your primary responsibility is the planning, documentation, communication, and decision-making behind the work. Your technicians perform the majority of the labor. You make sure they know what needs to happen, the work is performed correctly, and every job is properly documented from start to finish.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage multiple water, fire, and storm restoration projects simultaneously
- Inspect losses, determine scope, and develop the restoration plan
- Direct Restoration Technicians and assign daily job responsibilities
- Manage technician performance, provide direction, and hold your team accountable
- Monitor drying progress and adjust the drying plan based on moisture readings and job conditions
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Encircle
- Review job photos, moisture logs, equipment placement, notes, and documentation for accuracy
- Communicate with customers throughout the restoration process
- Coordinate with insurance professionals, adjusters, property managers, and other involved parties
- Ensure work follows Kingsley SOPs and applicable IICRC standards
- Identify problems early and take ownership of resolving them
- Keep multiple projects organized and moving efficiently from emergency response through completion
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
- Remain storm-ready during hurricane season for potential large-loss deployments
WHAT WE EXPECT
A Kingsley Project Manager doesn’t simply check on jobs or tell technicians what to do.
You need to understand restoration well enough to plan the work, explain it, document it, inspect it, and correct it when something isn’t right.
We expect you to:
- Take ownership of your projects without constant supervision
- Lead technicians and hold them accountable to company standards
- Train and develop less-experienced team members
- Make sound technical decisions in the field
- Prioritize multiple jobs and changing conditions
- Communicate professionally with customers and the team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Protect the customer’s property while avoiding unnecessary demolition
- Recognize problems before they become bigger problems
- Follow through until the job is actually complete
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of water mitigation/restoration experience
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience
- Current IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification
- Current IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification
- Demonstrated experience directing employees and holding a team accountable
- Strong knowledge of water extraction, structural drying, demolition, containment, and moisture monitoring
- Ability to interpret moisture readings and determine appropriate drying strategies
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Professional customer communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and comply with random testing
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during assigned on-call weeks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Xactimate experience
- Additional IICRC certifications, including AMRT and FSRT
- Experience managing multiple restoration projects simultaneously
- Experience with Encircle
- Experience working directly with insurance adjusters and other insurance professionals
PAY AND BENEFITS
- $21–$25/hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability
- Overtime at time-and-a-half over 40 hours
- Weekly pay every Friday
- $75 bonus for responding to qualifying after-hours emergency calls
