What are the responsibilities and job description for the KITCHEN + FOOD TRUCK TEAM MEMBER position at Kingsley Provisions Group?
KITCHEN FOOD TRUCK TEAM MEMBER
Kingsley Provisions Group (KPG) | Rock Hill, SC
FULL-TIME | 32 HOURS/WEEK
$15–$19/HR AFTER TRAINING
SATURDAY–TUESDAY | NO LATE NIGHTS | ROOM TO GROW
LOVE FOOD, BUT OVER THE LATE-NIGHT RESTAURANT SCHEDULE?
Come work with us.
Kingsley Provisions Group is looking for a dependable, positive, adaptable person to join our kitchen and food truck team.
This is a full-time position with at least 32 hours per week, primarily working Saturday through Tuesday. Some flexibility is preferred for occasional pop-ups, catering, special events, and abnormal production weeks.
And one of the best parts?
NO LATE NIGHTS.
We work hard and have busy days, but we believe you can build a career in food without making midnight closes your normal life.
THE TEAM IS EVERYTHING
This is probably the most important part of this entire job description.
KPG is a team environment, and protecting that environment matters to us.
We work hard. We move fast. We laugh. We teach each other. We help each other. And when something goes sideways, we figure it out together.
You don't need to walk through our doors knowing everything.
In fact, willingness to learn matters more to us than knowing everything already.
We can teach recipes.
We can teach systems.
We can teach technique.
What we need from you is the willingness to learn, take feedback, communicate, pivot, problem-solve, and help the people around you.
Skills can be developed.
Being a good teammate is non-negotiable.
WHO THRIVES HERE
You'll probably love working with us if you:
Want to learn. You ask questions, take feedback, and genuinely want to get better.
Can pivot. Kitchens, trucks, events, and growing businesses don't always go exactly according to plan. You're able to adjust and keep moving.
Problem-solve. When something changes, your first instinct is to figure out what needs to happen next.
Are team-first. If someone needs help, you jump in. “That's not my job” isn't really part of our vocabulary.
Bring good energy. You don't have to be the loudest person in the room. You do need to positively contribute to the people around you.
Are dependable. If you're scheduled, your team needs to know they can count on you.
WHAT YOUR DAYS MIGHT LOOK LIKE
No two days will be exactly the same.
Depending on the week, you may:
• Prepare and cook food from scratch
• Prep ingredients for production
• Follow and learn recipes and KPG systems
• Portion, assemble, and package meals
• Maintain a clean, organized, production-ready kitchen
• Load, set up, and break down the food truck
• Work food truck service
• Assist with occasional pop-ups, catering, and special events
• Jump into another area when your team needs an extra set of hands
Because we're a scratch kitchen, previous scratch-cooking or professional kitchen experience is strongly preferred.
But we're absolutely willing to consider someone with less experience who has the right attitude, work ethic, and genuine desire to learn.
ABOUT THE FOOD TRUCK
This isn't necessarily an everyday food truck position.
Depending on the week, you may spend a day or two working on the truck and the remainder of your time working within our kitchen operation.
We'll ask during the application and interview process whether you're comfortable working on the truck and whether you're able and willing to drive it.
Experience driving a food truck is a plus, but willingness to learn matters too.

COMPENSATION TRAINING
All new team members begin with a 4-week paid training period at $14/hour.
Those first four weeks are about more than learning recipes.
You'll work alongside our team, learn how our kitchens and food truck operate, become familiar with our systems and standards, and get comfortable with the different parts of the role.
It's also an opportunity for both of us to make sure this is the right long-term fit.
After successfully completing the 4-week training period, compensation will move into the $15–$19/hour range, based on experience, demonstrated skills, responsibilities, and overall role within the team.
We're willing to teach the right person.
What matters most to us during training is reliability, willingness to learn, ability to take feedback, teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to pivot when the day changes.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO STAY
We're not trying to fill a schedule with another warm body.
We're looking for someone who wants to become part of KPG.
We're growing, and we want the people who help us grow to have opportunities to grow with us.
Someone who learns our systems, takes ownership, becomes a person the team can rely on, and wants more responsibility will have opportunities to take on more within the company.
You don't need to know everything on your first day.
You need to show up ready to learn, ready to work, ready to help your team, and ready to figure things out.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
