Position Summary:
King’s Way Christian Schools is seeking a Youth Athletics Coordinator to organize, promote, and sustain student-centered athletic opportunities that build school spirit, community connection, and long-term program growth. This role supports the Athletic Department by coordinating youth teams and camps, managing community relationships, and ensuring smooth communication between school, families, and local leagues.
The ideal candidate is relational, organized, and passionate about promoting youth development through athletics in a Christ-centered environment. This role shall be filled by a person of spiritual maturity who will support the core values of King’s Way Christian Schools. Primary Responsibilities:
1. Organize and Support School-Affiliated Youth Teams
- Coordinate logistics for teams composed primarily of King’s Way students participating in local recreational or competitive leagues.
- Manage registration, rosters, scheduling, and communication with coaches and families.
- Ensure coaches and volunteers follow school standards, safety expectations, and communication protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of participation, fees, and league correspondence.
2. Promote School Identity and Unity through Athletics
- Create communication pieces that highlight youth athletic opportunities and successes.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Department and Marketing team to align branding and messaging.
- Encourage student, parent, and alumni engagement through youth sports events and recognition moments.
3. Communicate and Support Sports Development Opportunities
- Distribute information on local camps, clinics, and training opportunities available to King’s Way students.
- Collaborate with school coaches to plan and promote on-campus athletic camps and clinics.
- Maintain an updated calendar of opportunities for families.
4. Build Long-Term Systems and Sustainable Revenue Pathways
- Develop consistent processes for registration, communication, and fee collection.
- Support the creation of sustainable financial models for youth athletics programs.
- Track participation trends and make recommendations for future offerings or adjustments.
5. Network with Local Leagues and Community Partners
- Serve as the school’s liaison with local youth leagues and community athletic organizations.
- Strengthen relationships with key partners to secure opportunities for school-affiliated teams.
- Represent King’s Way Christian Schools professionally at league meetings and community events.
6. Ensure Effective Promotion and Collaboration for Camps, Clinics, and Clubs
- Partner with principals, the athletic department, and business office to align scheduling, communication, and billing processes.
- Ensure that all youth athletic events are communicated through proper school channels.
- Monitor program performance to ensure sustainability and mission alignment.
Position Details:
This hourly non-exempt position is expected to average 10 hours per week. With a combination of on-site, remote, and work at various local sporting events / sites. The hourly rate will be between $19.57 - 22.04 / hour determined based on internal equity, skills & relevant experience and/or education.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating athletic programs, youth sports, or similar community-based activities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff, coaches, and families.
- Demonstrated ability to build programs from the ground up—including establishing processes, developing partnerships, and creating systems where none currently exist.
- Strong communication skills that balance enthusiastic promotion of opportunities while clearly setting boundaries and expectations, especially in a model where teams operate in community leagues rather than under full institutional control.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.
- Commitment to Christian values and to the mission of King’s Way Christian Schools.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by league or camp schedules.
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment background check.
