Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Certified
Location: Hanford, CA
Position Type: Per Diem | Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $23.19 – $24.60 per hour

Position Overview:
Kings View is seeking a Certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide counseling, case management, education, outreach, and treatment planning services for individuals participating in substance use disorder treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Conduct assessments and support treatment planning
- Provide case management and referrals
- Maintain participant records and documentation
- Conduct testing and monitor participant compliance
- Communicate with referral sources and treatment teams
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
What You’ll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Behavioral/Social Sciences or equivalent coursework
- Valid California Driver’s License (Class C)
- Alcohol and Drug Registration and active pursuit of certification through a DHCS-recognized agency
Required Experience:
- Two (2) years related experience
- Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment principles
- Experience with electronic health record systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- CADTP membership encouraged
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
